~~~
Markets bounced off from supports as alerts, Qs 43.95 and SPX 1434, and continued traded up closing near at the highs of the day.
$NYA made a new record high to 9477.76 breaking out. As noted before $NYA was leading markets and is breaking out. Betting against "Breakout" is taking an odd chance. Also $MID is close to breaking out, only a few points away.
China $SSEC is also continuing to make new highs, to 3531.02, helping general bull market sentiment. Also $KOSPI has broken out to 3531.
AAPL is down after hours because it is delaying the new iPhone; thus futures are down a couple of points. AAPL 89 +/- is 50ma and also TL support; therefore, it is strong and critical support.
Market breadth is improving and market closed near to Highs of the day which is a good sign going into PPI # tomorrow morning. However, we need to be careful for unexpected high numbers as well.
Positive reaction to PPI # could be the final catalyst to break out from the recent high to upside as we can see that SPX formation is showing ready to make a larger move as shown on the 60m chart.
I made a brief comment on the recent wave pattern as shown below. The retracements which we have seen are bullish suggesting that markets are setting up to retrace to the Feb 2007 highs and will likely make new highs.
"The recent price action, Qs, Nas & Dow 76.40% RT and SPX ~80% RT, is bullish for bearish view, a-b-c. Considering the retracement level, 5 wave looks truncated if it ends here, turning it to a-b-c corrective wave. 4/12/2007 8:15:04 AM"
Or you are talking about the interest rates?You mean Positive reaction to inflation? Maybe I need to be more imaginative.
We have a positive reaction to PPI # ... no surprise, so market likes it.
The "W" formation is playing out like May of last year. Do you see the correlation?
I played the fakeout and coined it "The Camel Toe Bottom"
Of coures, I called Jun-Jul 2006 bottom and Mar 2007 bottom; therefore, I noted "Fractal". Then someone said, "Fractal"? Let's say that May 2007 bottom is a small replica of Jun-Jul 2006 bottom formation.
CONTRAT on MRK!!! Nice call.
Thanks TS.
No doubt the Hang Ten will probably double here when all the top callers start coming in full force.
I have a feeling that the naz etc. will be next because it and the US in general has lagged the whole world.
I think another big indicator is the foreign momo etfs such as IFN-India.
Check it out.
Watching for a wedge breakout.
If this breaks out I think that basically many of the other foreign etfs may follow suit.
Iv'e never seen it gamed pre-market this early.
Someone bought 500 shares which isn't much but usually points to hedge funds etc. from my take of pre-market gaming etc.
Not saying that it goes up today at all but that it should be put on the watch list.
Other momo favorites such as LFC have recently taken off.
I am simply looking into speculation etc. and how it aligns with other things for a breakout pretty quick here.
Since next week is option expiration I am expecting some wild rides but think some good overall entry points may be made.
I just bought SIRI. Already have a 1/2 position in XMSR. Guess these are at the forefront of speculation.
No doubt we should just write covered calls. Check out the covered call fund BEP. WOW!
Shut my site down temporarily. Someone tried to hack me all night long last night it seems and tried to access both my email accounts so had to reset them as well. Having things ultra secured today and monitored independently. What a pain since I do it for free...
Thanks, I will think about your comment on this later. Your stock selection on this post.
I hope that you will be alright with your site. Hopefully, you are savvy enough to avoid the hacker's activities. Is your background computer engineer?
Like you to stop by once in a while since I post on my board because my browser is sometimes slow on this site and I don't want to post too much.
I am expecting relatively quiet trading day today.
Good trades
