From Yahoo:
"India's Tata Motors is developing a car it aims to sell for about $2,500, putting wheels within reach of millions -- and earning it a place in history alongside Ford's Model T."

I'm only kidding, kinda.

That's cheap, though. I mean, buy it and throw it away after a year and you're no worse off than a typical lease, and maybe better.

I'm guessing it won't have airbags, a radio of any kind, air conditioning/heat, a back seat and will probably crumble in a collision with a large bicycle. OTOH, I can't think of anything more bullish for energy and commodities than another billion people around the globe able to afford an automobile. BTW, has anyone noticed that world crude oil production is basically flat over the past 18 months despite record high prices and 3 year price runup? I challenge anyone to look at a crude oil chart going back 50 years and pick out other crude price runups. There's been a supply response within a year or two each time--except this time. Peak oil is right under our noses and so many don't believe. NGL are the only thing that will help--along with CTL which is coming but will take years to fully implement. If you're a LT investor I would take a serious look at SSL, it's a steel here (I'm long).

While it will have its' place, my days of cracker jacks box cars are, hopefully, over.

No longer interested in debating with IGNORANT people.
