Ted Burge covers this subject well, and has a PnF chart for SOX showing the 496 horizontal area...tho' his other SOX charts highlight other horizontals -

Well, that's the thing about extensions, they don't come in until they do... SOX could extend all the way to 507 pivot area that would put it in the 1.618 area, good risk/reward for short. I can wait, still need to see that 13000+ print... waiting patiently.

I entered QQQQ short 45.80 and .81 with about 3 cents stop at time of entry.

now the exit will be the tricky part...leave early or stay too long?

QID delayed daily, fyi ( I am playing QQQQ)

The only question you have to ask yourself is what fuel are they going to use to get 13000. They seem to be doing pretty well with technology (IBM up 4).

May depend on whether or not 45.73 becomes S or R.

The SOX looks like it has at least another 5%. It's really wound up tight. If this move is a fakeout it's about over....if not the BO should draw capital and short covering for a week or two.

Have had that marked on my live chart. If 45.73 becomes a ST consolidation area, given the internal configuration, and if the top TL is taken out, the Qs could get moving. At some point, the market may need a breather, but tech momentum seems to be gaining.
