I would ordinarily post this on the gold board. However, ABX has been my favorite LT gold blue chip for weeks. If you manage LT money there is no greater time to buy to get low risk high reward and low beta exposure to the gold secor. ABX is CHEAP compared to GG and NEM, way too cheap. ABX crushed estimates and has now eliminated their hedges. This was the beef gold bugs have had with the company. I think ABX is a now the most important stock in the sector, by far. I am betting (have Jan 09 ABX calls) that this stock outperforms all gold large caps and is going much higher. Sentiment toward ABX by gold enthusiasts is way out of compared with the other large caps and there will be an adjustent. I think a pairs trade of short NEM and long ABX will work well, too.
