He's still at what? Doing what the mainstream investor could have done for the same amount of time?Veteran editor Charles Allmon's still at it - and he's 86...has been massively in cash (currently 75%) for more than 20 years.

75% cash for 20 years? This kind of advice is dangerous. As any portfolio manager would tell you, holding too much cash for long-term is going to present serious risk of retirement shortfall and inflation shortfall for most investors. Though as the article points out, this kind of strategy might be useful for very wealthy individuals whose concern is more to protect their capital rather than grow it.
