April jobs growth slows to 88,000, missing analyst estimates. Unemployment rate rises to 4.5%. Spin for a rate cut? The reality is that Fed can not afford a move.

They should cut well in advance of really slow growth

When we start seeing really slow growth, it will be too late

Inflation was not affected when they went on hold, and inflation will not be affected by some rate cuts

Lower dollar will fuel exports

We have a lower dollar, and eventually we should see manufacturing increasing here in the US. However, the cost of items will continue to increase thus having causing us to have inflation. The FED cannot lower rates until the dollar becomes stronger. Barry

The FED does not need to lower rates. This has always been a falsehood. They only need keep them stable at this juncture. Fib
