If you have an AOL email (darn I hate those ******** at AOL) AND if you want to receive emails from Traders-Talk such as correspondance from other members, notification of new topics or posts, or even if you want notifications that someone has replied to a topic you started... or if someone sends you a PM.... well tough freaking luck.

AOL doesn't want you to get your emails.

And because of their incessant desire to protect you from yourselves, they have just gone onto our list of unacceptable email addresses. We no longer accept registrations from AOL.

IF you already have an AOL address, like those with old Yahoo and Gmail accounts, you will be grandfathered in, but you must add the board notification email address to your address book so we stop getting the bounced messages and you can actually get the emails you signed up to get.

This is the email address to add to your address book: <admin @ Traders-Talk.com> (without the spaces)

We've been innundated with bounced/rejected messages from all of you AOL members who signed up to get these notifications. (Note: we do not sign you up to get emails from us or the board- only you can do that.. IF you're getting emails you don't want from the board, don't tell AOL it's us sending you spam... it's not... it's YOU sending you spam. You can change any/all email notifications from your control panel or by NOT clicking 'Enable email notification of replies?' when you make a post.)

You dont like AOL or Yahoo or Gmail. that leaves very little and is just as bad as AOL saying they wont deliver mail. People should be able to chose change their email as they chose and not have to set one account up just to please Traders Talk. SBC my internet service provider is now ATT - SBC and has its email via Yahoo !!!! so I cant even use that with you if I want to change from AOL.

i get all the pms via yahoo with no problem........i have hotmail...yahoo ....earthlink ...aol.....raging bull email addresses.....

There are hundreds of thousands of IPs out there. Traders-Talk has registrations with over 2000+ different email extensions alone, so contrary to your statement, it does not leave 'very little' at all.

People should be able to chose change their email as they chose and not have to set one account up just to please Traders Talk.

You can change it. Anytime you want. There's nothing stopping you. It's in your control panel.

You should know that in a service industry, it's not about pleasing us or Traders-Talk, it's about using an email address that allows YOU to get the full functionality of this message board. It's all about pleasing YOU.

But's it's not a *****@yahoo.com email address is it?

Anyway, you should know by now that we all make exceptions to the rules now and again. Seriously, all you have to do is either add the forum email address to your AOL address book so we don't get bounced/rejected emails from AOL, or don't sign up to receive board notifications and there's no problem at all.
