Dude,...remeber when everyone who bought was happy. Well I bought my mother a PC from DELL a little over a year ago, maybe two. Even after I had already noticed they always promote rebates on Sales just before reporting periods..... then you buy.....then you fight like hell to get the rebate that was promised ..... why fight like HELL, because they need to take a very long time with money back so the can bury that payout between reporting periods. Wow did that company lose its way! Once bitten ..... now my whole extended family will never buy from them again! ;) NOW....just HP or Toshiba BabY!

Once had five computers with four of them Dells. Have replaced three with HP's. Dell made me so happy at one time I thought I would never change. What happened? They started listening to Wall Street. The big boys wanted to make money on their shares in the short term and started griping and sniping. So the focus became margins, margins and more margins. The boys made their money but look what they left behind. It happens over and over and over. The hot shots sit in their ivory towers and "publish" their opinions about what so and so needs to do in order to "increase shareholder value". The truth is....most of these hot shots don't have a clue about how to run a company. Everything is black and white, apples and oranges to them. It is NEVER that way in the real world of running a company. Dell listened and got lost and I for one miss them and hope they find the way back.
