I appreciate that there is value in wave analysis, and find this discussion helpful.

Albert, here is a (dumb?) question:

If a couple of EW geeks where hanging out, and one said, "(3)-a-b-c-x-a-b-c-A-a-b-c -B-a-b-c-C" would the other "know" the implied direction and/or magnitude of the next move, without seeing a chart or knowing the name?

I used that count to describe the path from (3) to A

It's a corrective wave form called "double three":

Corrective waves are categorized into six wave form:

1) Zig-Zag : abc pattern composed of 5-3-5 sub-wave structure.
2) Flat : abc pattern composed of 3-3-5 sub-wave structure, with b equals a.
3) Irregular : abc pattern composed of 3-3-5 sub-wave structure, with b longer than a.
4) Horizontal Triangle : 5-wave triangular pattern composed of 3-3-3-3-3 sub-wave structure.
5) Double Three : abcxabc pattern composed of any two from above, linked by x wave.
6) Triple Three : abcxabcxabc pattern composed of any three from above, linked by two x waves.

Selecto,

An EW geek would most likely just say that they think that C of 4 has completed and yes any EW geek would know what that means.

Best,
