[U.F.O.]

The police in the U.S. are about to have a field day on computerized license plate identification. (Mobile Plate Hunter.) This is how the Brit's busted the Islamic doctor and his wife who were trying to get away on the M6 last week. The new I.D. technology is being led by Remingtom Arms, which has been privately held for almost 15 years. There is, however, an Italian company partnering through their Elsag division, Finmeccanica Group. Supposed to be listed on the Italian stock exchange. This technology was pasted all over FOX news tonight and I strongly suspect a major bullish pop over the next several days on any tradeable, marketable equity. I just Googled till my fingers bled and still can't find a way to play this. ? Ideas? U.F.O.

Hey UFO, do prisons still make liscense plates? Invest in a private prison that makes them? LAUGH. Ok, so I don't know, just wanted to say hi! I was tracking down a similar idea the other day. Some private company in Forida is developing a high tech scanning platform that would check all container ships coming into the US. High tech scans, camers, crew quarters, helicopter landing pad, etc etc. Able to board and inspect at will. But from what I could tell, it was a private company. No way to trade their stock.

When ICE reworked their product it screwed up my optimizatons and I was unable to achieve similar results on their new product....so I switched to trading without using such systems. I sucked. Stuck most of my money into buy and hold stuff and am now trading on the edges. I'm back to running optimizatons but using my own with some borrowed code and going to see how they trade. If they don't, I could well abandon trading althogether in a year or so. My risk management has always kept me from disaster but I've never really found a trading edge.

At the moment I'm long CCJ (Uranium), GLD (gold) and this (Disney) all with trailing stops. And of course, my buy and hold is all in and all scattered about between bonds, stocks, real estate, domestic, foreign, etc.
