Based on my momentum methods, above SPX cash 1455 is an acceleration zone. As long as we are below it, i am comfortably short for a retest. Above that level, significant price accleleration can take place. Will cover my shorts and start getting long if we get above that level. That would also break the channel that i posted yesterday. Right now, we are in a nice neutral zone again. NYSE MCO right near the zero line. Daily CCI near the zero line. Weekly CCI near the -100 line. So it's either rejection time or acceleration time ! Place your bets !

The weekly vix chart I posted just before this post looks pretty ominous to my eyes... :ninja: That's what makes a market as they say.

I think we go to 1460 and change and then the mkt consolidates and depending on internals either is rejected and we get a retest or after a brief consolidation we then rally to the 50 day ema at 1483 and do it again sam!

I acknowledge that on the minute charts vix can go up again...but on the weekly its eventually going to fall hard.

Nav, Can you very briefly explain what makes a zone an "acceleration zone"? I like the term and could speculate what you mean by it but would rather really know what you mean, how you identify such a "zone".

SB,

I use some price pivots. When my momentum indicators move up from a neutral zone or a oversold zone and price approaches those pivtos, the pivots generally get broken with vengeance. That's what i call a acceleration zone. On the other hand, if we approach the pivot with overbought conditions, it generally becomes a rejection zone.

Ahh, thanks. I understand that.
