The 16 day cycle (running about 17 days) and the rising tops line points to 1508 for Friday. On Aug 6 we bottomed at 1427 and ran to 1503 by Aug 8. This bottom hit 1432 and if all bein equal we hit the rising tops line Friday at 1508. The e-wave looks suggests bear rally here with more hard down into the next 17 day cycle low due Sept 11 (which is also a new moon solar eclipse). I believe we hit 1260, a .382 retracement from 2002 bottom. That is where the declining bottoms line points to. Cycles then point up hard into mid October with possible new highs or double top.
Today, I'm looking for a sideways a-b-c flat with 'a' starting at the open. 1450 should hold into the afternoon with a resumption higher toward the close following through into mid-session Friday to 1508 target. Anything higher would surprise me at this point.
SPX held 1451 as expected. This is Aug 7 deja vu! The QQQQ was stronger on 'a' decline as Aug 7 was. Now I expect move toward closing highs and exceeding it or wave 'b'. The move back to 1450 on the SPX later today (wave 'c') should take the QQQQ to 47.53. Next 4Q target 49.11 Friday.

SPX acting as expected, but not the cubes. I view the cubes as a speculative indicator and perhaps a harbinger of things to come in September. The normal 1.618 beta of the cubes to the SPX is not present. The SPX may be more commodity related is the only thing I can think and we may be entering a deflationary mode.

SPX has a much heavier weight in financials.

Thanks Phineas.
