just for fun...can you do those charts and put price behind ...compq behind nasi and either spx or nya behind nysi

Here it is.

Being short against rising summations is like peeing against the wind. You may get lucky, but the odds are heavily against it. Especialy when its at such washed out levels. $NASI turning up around -1000 level and crossing 20 MA is a classic buy signal.

Turns on those summations are usually good. I am wondering if we don't make a complex bottom again, though, as September is usually a lousy month.

Here is a utility giving performance by month.

I see the trendlines there. But remember, summations are an oscillator.

And trendline breaks on summations aren't tradable, IMO.

I think the MACD on that chart you posted is a more significant indicator, since its oversold to the levels of the previous bottoms.

I think trendline break of the nysi is/was significant as part of this latest correction. As such, let's see if there is a stall on the upswing of the nysi at around -375, testing that trendline from underneath. If we stall and turn down, I think we will get the complex bottom selecto spoke of. If not, I think we rally in earnest, not barring a test of the same trendline then from above down. Echo
