tea - how do you roll your ES future contract to the new front month? i've got a couple contracts i'm holding from a lower price level for the Sept contract and I'm actually trying the buy/hold concept at this particular moment. Using IB if that's of any help - tia -

Sell the sept right now and buy the Dec on a pull back....which is coming. . . . PS> Just an opinion...but this isn't the time for buy and hold. PSS: that sounded like advise...it's not...just a suggestion. PSSS: I shorted 96 DEC stop 98.50

out doing the day time job today tea - much obliged for the response. So to sum it up, the process of "rolling to the next front months contract" in this circumstance, is simply selling the Sept contract and buying the December contract. I was thinking maybe IB rolled it for you or something like that. Appreciate the clarification, and the "suggestion" :)
