Abu Dhabi's state-owned energy company just bought out PWI for a HUGE premium. Folks, this is big time news. I added some more LT calls in the energy sector (NXY is my favorite). This is a major event...think about it.

I should add that NXY is my favorite for LT calls but not my favorite energy play. It's prolly the lowest risk energy blue chip--from what I can see.

Gee ... and I thought you were going to talk about the NEWS of my new pet rabbit ... now that's news!

Thanks calmcookie. The news a major national Arab oil company (remember...the Arabs have plenty of very cheap oil to produce) paying a big fat premium to buy Canadian reserves that are much more expensive to get out of the ground. I can't believe this board is so overly obsessed with the ST movements of a major dollar denominated index and is missing a huge investment opportunity. The weekly and monthly charts of all these small cap energy and metals plays look beautiful. Many are breaking out of LT bases again. The news backdrop is great and it's happenning in a sentiment environment the smells of disinterest. I posted ABX--it went nuts. I posted SA---nuts. Energy stocks are flat out going up over the next 12 months. It's close to a sure thing. Is there risk?...yes. The reward is huge, though and the risk is small.

PWI was underpriced and they dont pay TAX but it will not be when the purchaser goes public :lol:

these are just large scale trades not investments... while the money is so cheap
