I grew up in Colorado. Most people discount not well known teams. I think the Rockies will do well and also the Colorado Buffaloes for College Football this year....

People are skeptical of the stock market because they understand that it's currently fueled by money-pump inflation and Gummint lies... phony as a 3-dollar bill. Yet, the market churns higher. (Da Boyz are not skeptical... they're the facilitators and gamers.)

Didn't the Buffs start out poorly this year?

Go Rockies!!

This isn't much of a story, but it's as close as I've got for MLB...

Wifey and I took some people to a Rockies game. They were playing San Diego and were up 9-1 in the 4th. The woman of the other couple said, "this is our first game... glad to see the home team win". I said, "Not so fast... it's the Rockies, you know".

The game ended 15-13, San Diego.

Then after the game, we went to a restaurant. Andres Gallaraga (1st basement at the time) came in with this wife and 3 daughters and sat at the table next to ours. Whoopie! (I WARNED you it wasn't much...)
40,000 headmen couldn't make me change my mind....

Listening to Harry Carey try to pronounce Gallaraga was priceless. Too bad he was dead by the time Nomar came to the NL......
Free market's for free men!
