This reminds me a lot of 25/07 when SPX was down for the day trying to break below 1512-1515 all day and 30 minutes before the close was around 1509....only for the last 30mins to take the index back on 1520. I guess programme trading was in force that day as it was today for the last 30 mins. I remember that day because I closed my shorts, as I thought it would go further up the next day or next few days. All that happened was a big drop the next day. Let s see what happens here. Big numbers coming out the next few days plus the situation in Middle East is not that good....wti at $86.40 at the moment.
