No surprise here sorry to say. I have heard many stories of people with Camry's not being real pleased. About 3 years ago, word was to buy the Corolla if you could tolerate a smaller car, instead of the Camry because of reliability issues. Been going downhill for about 4-5 years now. They were living on their old reputation. It finally caught up with them.

Consumer Reports was frankly being nice and letting them skate for awhile there IMHO.

Try a Chevy. Especially Impala. Extremely reliable, very solid, very quiet. Bigger than Camry, less money up front, lower maintenance costs, and lower insurance. Chevy has come a long long way with all of their vehicles. People still give Detroit too much of a bad rap.

Besides that the Toyota Dealers and sales people are fricking rude, ruder, and rudest. I visited several least year, and they were so full of themselves I was ready to barf. Just because they THINK they have the best car, doesn't mean they have a right to be jerks. One guy bitched to me about how he only made $50 bucks commission on a car. If that's all he got he deserved it with his attitude. If he actually got more and was poor-mouthing, then may he rot in you-know-where.

There comes a time when it does make sense to buy American.
