It snows 40 inches in average year in Chicago. Here in Portland, 2 inches of snow brings the city to
a grinding halt and demolition derby.
The difference?
They salt the streets in Chicago in winter time!
I guess the enviro-wacko's frown on salt here or something. Instead they
spread little pebbles. No wonder the windshield replacement business is booming here.
