What I want to know is why somone would be holding losses after 12/27/06, unless they didn't have enough gains to offset. Very rarely will I hold a loss near year end. It's the difference between guaranteed money and money on the come.

ur another one with 2 much spilkis.......:>)
From one of the resident Yids here:
Spilkis (pronounced shpil - kiss)
Literally means pins and needles.
In expressions it means like "get on with your story, you are giving me spilkis"
More often, in common usage it means aggravation/heartburn/ajida
As in my mother used to say, "Do your homework dammit and don't argue. You are giving me spilkis"
while balling up her fist over her stomach or wiping her brow, as if she had a fever.

I am italian by marriage.
We say agida.
As in...
In my best Tony Soprano intonation.
Hey ohhhh ya givin me agida.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.
