The cover of Barron's is odd...."Echos of the 1987" (whatever that means) is the main focus, while at the top of the cover, banks are bullish?
And when has Bill Gross been correct about anything over the last 20 years? Why does the press continue to use him as a sounding board?
Always late to the party, this industry is always perplexing.

For the other side of the coin, take a look at the big bull on the Oct 7 cover of The Economist with a cover title "The bull market in everything".

More than 5 years old. That was right after QE2 and stocks fell 20 percent. You know what happened next? It's like his other bogus posts. Learn to read polls and chart (hint: use log scale on your Dow chart and your point would've been valid).

Don, Barron's has a paid subscription of less than 500 thousand. The Economist has a paid subscription of almost 1.5 million, three times the reach of Barron's. I do realize that Barron's is considered the weekly magazine of record for the U.S. market, but The Economist is more prone to have outlandish (full colour) covers better reflecting the mood of investors. Sentiment is clearly in the eyes of the beholder.
