I usually look at the things on MACD trends I developed so far, but absent any clear knowledge of where the new trend's resistance is I look at other stuff such as MACD cross. And we were headed for a cross under. The last one was at the start of the crash. The cross over that followed was just after the index turn. But we came within a hair of crossing under now and whoops! Missed it! This kind of mirrors the sentiment I read here.

Have you looked back at other big corrections like the 2018 Fall?
The rebound and then the cross back down was uneventful, MACD
crosses only mater according to context.
