Even an ordinary cold has potential to damage lungs. Some people end up with pneumonia with a bad cold and die. My 14 year old healthy and athletic daughter (golf champ in girl's summer league at the country club) came down with pneumonia after an ordinary cold! She was young and healthy so of course she recovered. 2,500,000 Americans DIE every year from some type of disease and accidents. A death is most serious form of lung damage because there is no recovery at all.

 

Testing positive with a smaller dose of virus is similar to getting vaccinated. The amount of virus received is not large enough to cause serious sickness. Body creates anti-bodies based on type of virus. Our bodies have been doing this for millions of years. It is the best defense against viruses, better than any treatment in hospital. 

 

So the best course of operation is to quarantine the sick and old and let healthy people get exposed to small quantities of virus. Hiding in basement is the worst solution.

Medicare age people need to be cautious to exposure IF THEY HAVE EXISTING HEALTH ISSUES, such as diabetes, obesity, poor heart health, cancer, lupus, etc. Those people need to self-quarantine.

 

I burned 80 candles this year, but exercise 6-7 days every week, and am healthy as a horse with zero health issues. I have been on a cruise ending on Feb 29th, been to Walmart dozens of times not wearing mask, been to restaurants since they opened here in beautiful Saint Augustine, accompany my wife for her chemo treatments every 3 weeks to cancer hospital, been to eye doctor, and of course walk on the beautiful beaches here. No symptoms at all after a dry cough post-cruise for 10 days. I believe it was a milf covid-19 infection which my healthy body fought off. And now I have immunity! LOL
