Boy...I give an "atta boy" for a job well done and I get attacked with blatant condescension in return?
Let's see...does "long term" mean more than a day, week, month or year? After all, everyone has their own time perimeters.
BTW...you also called a market bottom in June as well in which was pointed out in another thread by your own words, and then you went ballistic when Don wasn't around to "explain what happened". As far as October is concerned, Helen Keller could had called a price bottom on October 13th....no real biggie, but duly noted.

chief called the market bottom in June, not me...........I called a low in June, not a bottom. Also called the high of the bounce from June, more or less. Then I was expecting the stock market to go lower than June lows and so it was. And I perfectly said it........and I'm not even such a phenomenal trader. You should do a lot better, given that you are phenomenal.....

that is what I was expecting. I saved the charts
when, after June's bounce, I wrote that we were headed lower than June in search of a bottom, cheif said the bottom had already been in and it was in June.
And now I give up replying, because you may be obsessed by me, but I'm not obsessed by you

the problem is not criticizing. The problem is criticizing without posting in FF, any f@@@@ng chart of an index, with a clear path and a clear target. In 15 years, I have never seen a clear path and a clear target by the one who likes to criticize my posts. But, I have to admit, I read from that ''one'' a lot of philosophical discussions and I'm grateful for that, because it contributed to enrich my English dictionary....(even though I still miss sometimes the meaning of some words, like ''fairly'' which I controlled today with a translator)
