I think you're right -- especially the part about taking more heat for a few days first. The speculative "tells" I watch (RUT is a good example) continue to convey unabashed exuberance. This will make things all the more "interesting" when the worm finally turns.
I especially like the fact that HGX is chugging higher on a day when the industry that supplies credit to home buyers is grinding to halt. It gives a new depth of meaning to the adjective "irrational."
