I posted this when the VIX touched 18.
It turned back up sooner than I expected.
Notice the 55MA is still moving up but being slowed by these recurring penetrations.
I've always expected that when it finally turns down, price should revisit it from the underside, as it did near the end of 2000.

Here's a close up of the chart above.
I think we could see a lower low next week making the MACD bar even longer but maybe then some relief of the oversold condition.
