There may not be a "relief rally" next week, but a "rally" as 90% posters here are very bearish.

Oh my gosh - when did Kashkari move from Treasury to Pimco?? Aug. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Neel Kashkari, managing director at Pacific Investment Management Co., talks about the state of the U.S. economy and the risk of a downgrade of the AAA credit rating. Kashkari, speaking on Bloomberg Television's "InBusiness with Margaret Brennan," also discusses investment opportunities. (Source: Bloomberg) that was a real short stint at Treas, after Goldman - and he is awfully young to have managing director at PIMCO - glad meritocracy is still working tn the USA - must explain the 9+% unemployment!

Tim has not spent the country into downgrade. Those who have spent the country into downgrade are all elected - on a promise of a chicken in every pot, and a bomb on every no-good. (And, oh, how's that been working out?)

Amen! But Geithner will be dispensed of as the scapegoat, shortly.
