State wheat crop expected to increase this year

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An initial estimate made by officials from the Oklahoma Grain and Feed Association indicates that state wheat farmers will be able to harvest 149 million bushels in 2008.
If the estimate holds, this year's production would be considerably higher than that of 2007, in which 98 million bushels were harvested. Last year's crop endured both a late freeze in April and numerous rainstorms around the time of harvest.

Yanno, I expect that farmers will plow up the front yard if the price of their favored crop goes high enough.
I wonder how much corn is being planted...
