I believe we are now in stagflation so one could say deflation regards money supply, but, inflation for what we pay. However, next comes inflation with a vengeance. Gold is and will be the place to be through it all.

if the past is any guide volker continually raised rates. imho, its an admission by the fed that inflation is higher than their rates. in the 78-80 period, when i began my career, the fed raised rates continually and gold went higher. and now, w/massive deficits to attract funds to finance the shortcomings they will raise rates. this is not positive for the economy. raising rates, if they can help it could be short lived, for now the fireworks for gold start in march. raising rates imf announcement and gold holds its ground/even gains a little dharma
