GLOBAL WARMING
CLIMATE CHANGE
GLOBAL CLIMATE DISRUPTION

White House: Global Warming Out, 'Global Climate Disruption' In...

From the administration that brought you "man-caused disaster" and "overseas contingency operation," another terminology change is in the pipeline.

The White House wants the public to start using the term "global climate disruption" in place of "global warming" -- fearing the latter term oversimplifies the problem and makes it sound less dangerous than it really is.

White House science adviser John Holdren urged people to start using the phrase during a speech last week in Oslo, echoing a plea he made three years earlier. Holdren said global warming is a "dangerous misnomer" for a problem far more complicated than a rise in temperature.

"They're trying to come up with more politically palatable ways to sell some of this stuff," said pollster Adam Geller.

He said the climate change change-up likely derives from flagging public support for their bill to regulate emissions. He said the term "global warming" makes the cause easy to ridicule whenever there's a snowstorm.

"Every time we're digging our cars out -- what global warming?" he said. "(Global climate disruption is) more of a sort of generic blanket term, I guess, that can apply in all weather conditions."
It's unclear why Holdren prefers "global climate disruption" over "climate change," the most commonly used alternative to "global warming."

Here's evidence of such DISRUPTION:

 September snow surprise in Montana...

"Snow began falling in some areas of north central Montana and along the Rocky Mountain Front early on Friday, leaving some people checking their calendar to see if it is still, in fact, summer.
The Winter Weather Advisory for snow that was issued at midnight remains in effect until 6 pm on Friday for areas along the Rocky Mountain Front. The snowfall will affect travel through mountain passes such as Logan Pass and Marias Pass, as well as travel around Glacier National Park.

Expect total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches at lower elevations along the east slopes of the Rocky Mountain Front, with 4 to 8 inches possible above 6000 feet. "

Global Cooling and the New World Order

The 58th Bilderberg Meeting will be held in Sitges, Spain 3 – 6 June 2010. The Conference will deal mainly with Financial Reform, Security, Cyber Technology, Energy, Pakistan, Afghanistan, World Food Problem, Global Cooling, Social Networking, Medical Science, EU-US relations.

Yep, that’s right. Global Cooling.

The next few years are going to be very interesting. Watch the global power elite squirming to reposition itself as it slowly distances itself from Anthropogenic Global Warming (”Who? Us? …”), and tries to find new ways of justifying green taxation and control. ... You’ll notice sly shifts in policy spin. .... You’ll hear enviro-Nazis like Obama’s Science Czar John Holdren avoid reference to “global warming” like the plague, preferring the more reliably vague phrase “global climate disruption.”

And you know what the worst thing is? If we allow them to, they’re going to get away with it.

Al Gore, George Soros, Bill Gates, Carol Browner, John Holdren, Barack Obama, David Cameron, Ed Miliband, Tim Yeo, Michael Mann, Ted Turner, Robert Redford, Phil Jones, Chris Huhne, John Howard, Julia Gillard, Kevin Rudd, Yvo de Boer, Rajendra Pachauri….The list of the guilty goes on and on. Each in his own way – and whether through ignorance, naivety idealism or cynicism, it really doesn’t matter for the result has been the same – has done his bit to push the greatest con-trick in the history of science, forcing on global consumers the biggest bill in the history taxation, using “global warming” as an excuse to extend the reach of government further than it has ever gone before.

Wouldn't global cooling be easily explained by "global climate disruption"?

No doubt the solution will be to tax carbon...

Southern California's summer to end with a chill: Coldest in decades...
September 21, 2010
Jamie Meier, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Oxnard, said that LAX tied the coldest average temperature for August on record, going back to 1944.
The Santa Barbara airport also broke a record for coolest August, she said.
Thoughout the summer, communities across Southern California set record low temperatures, notably Los Angeles International Airport and other coastal areas.

Okies just call it weather. ;)

They said we had a record hot 95 degree day last week. Um, I was out in it. I'm 12 minutes from the airport. Maybe 90. I'm telling you, they parked a car near the temperature measurement station in order to get the record. Of course, one wonders why they think it's good to measure climate at airports...

Royal Society issues new climate change guide that admits there are 'uncertainties' about the science

By Niall Firth
Last updated at 12:37 PM on 30th September 2010

The UK’s leading scientific body has been forced to rewrite its guide on climate change and admit that it is not known how much warmer the Earth will become.

The Royal Society has updated its guide after 43 of its members complained that the previous version failed to take into account the opinion of climate change sceptics.

Now the new guide, called ‘Climate change: a summary of the science’, admits that there are some ‘uncertainties’ regarding the science behind climate change.

And it says that it impossible to know for sure how the Earth's climate will change in the future nor what the possible effects may be.
The 19-page guide says: ’It is not possible to determine exactly how much the Earth will warm or exactly how the climate will change in the future, but careful estimates of potential changes and associated uncertainties have been made.

‘Scientists continue to work to narrow these areas of uncertainty. Uncertainty can work both ways, since the changes and their impacts may be either smaller or larger than those projected.’

And it avoids making any predictions about the possible impacts of climate change and advises caution in making projections about rising sea levels

It looks like they might want to change the name from "COOLING" to "CHAOS" when they see the ICE AGE coming back!

EUROPE: 'Coldest winter in 1,000 years' on its way...

"Forecasters say this winter could be the coldest Europe has seen in the last 1,000 years.

The change is reportedly connected with the speed of the Gulf Stream, which has shrunk in half in just the last couple of years.
Polish scientists say that it means the stream will not be able to compensate for the cold from the Arctic winds."
According to them, when the stream is completely stopped, a new Ice Age will begin in Europe."

No doubt a tax on carbon is the only way to save Europe. ;)
It's funny how a tax on carbon will prevent cooling AND warming.
Carbon must work like a thermos bottle: "Keeps hot things hot and cold things cold."
Amazing!

The public might not understand the science, but they do understand cheating

There are lots of ways to find “warm”. More tricks from the climate establishment:

They removed inconvenient thermometers.
There were nearly 6,000 thermometers in the official global network in the 1980s, but there are now just 1,079. (Nice animation of global thermometer network from 1920 to 2010. See p.10 here.)

The removals increased the proportion of thermometers:

At airports—which are warmer than surroundings. (From about 30% to about 50%, p.12 here.)
Nearer the equator—it is hotter at the equator. (The mean distance of thermometers from the equator in degrees latitude dropped from 35° to 20°, p.13 here.)
At lower altitudes—it is colder in the mountains. (The mean altitude of thermometers decreased from 480 meters above sea level to 350 meters, p.14 here.)

They “adjust” the raw temperature data to increase apparent warming.
This is under the guise of filling in missing data, accounting for thermometer moves, accounting for the urban heat island effect, and various technicalities. The effect is to substantially increase the warming trend (US and global, Australia). In the country with the best thermometer network, the USA, the official adjustments account for almost the entire temperature rise from the 1930s to the 1990s (from NOAA data, here).

They revise the official (adjusted) temperatures after a decade or so have passed, to increase recent warming and remove any recent cooling.
For example, 1965 went from being 0.3°C warmer than the 1970’s in 1976 to 0.03°C cooler by 2007, presumably to erase the cooling period around 1960 – 75 when human carbon emissions were increasing rapidly.

They hide their temperature data, both their raw data and how they adjusted it.
They evaded Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to make the data, which is publically owned data, available. They even claim to have lost original data!
