gold down: miners down
gold up miners down
got the drill?
well, I exaggerate but the last 6 months have been not much fun as a gold miner bull
long term buying opp coming?
The fact that I oncreasingly am doubtful means the sentiment effect is real: one always imagines it will be someone else s negative sentiment, but ones own is the real tell

bingo!

in bear markets, which the dolar is definitely in , upside targets are often not fulfilled.
remember its counter trend we are talking about .
contrarians

if this gets passed it is good news

its unfair anyway.
some work to do 1495-1513 lets see if a move can be sustained.
what will the eu do longer term to keep them functioning.
how long will the germans and french be willing to support the lifestyles of their southern brethren?
i am not in this for the weekend or for a swing. the swing is since 1913 , the dollar has lost over 90%of its pp.
corrections are part of the process.
i accept drawdowns as part of the process. i am up on the year, in spite of the drawdown.
i can wait. dont mistake genius for a bull market

a new day and the metals are correcting. today is quarter end. and the broads are bubbly. no surprise , take a look @the bias for end of quarter. gdxj had been in a falling wedge, which it peered out of yesterday. this is not an easy sector to participate in. lets face it they are all tough. gold/silver/miners may be a little tougher. one has to really understand where we are and have some conviction in the prevailing trend. other wise, these bone cracking corrections will have you selling @the wrong time. evidently its going to take higher gold prices to light a match under the miners. 30years of bull in the bonds. which offer very little in the way of returns for investors. now, when you consider the magic act of offering little in the way of returns and the size of the debt held by the us govt, i have to wonder how long will investors accept these kinds of returns? the bull in bonds is long in the tooth. the reason i bring this up, is dont be surprised if interest rates start rising. rising interest rates are gold bullish. its an admission that inflation is higher than the rate of return on bonds. last time it was not rising interest rates that ended the gold bull. and it will not be this time either. the dollar will seek lower levels. as will all fiats. they are all the same really. fiats=debt gold=money. there is not debt attached to gold. @some point folks will wake up to that. markets fluctuate, have a plan dont get fluctuated out of a position that will be a big winner dharma

i am spinning my wheels. in time the bull will exert itself. i use cycles as a guide. but, my main guide is, bulls end in parabolic blowoffs. all the action between here and there is just moving the chairs on the deck. i feel confident that i will be able to identify the parabolic, and so i wait positioned. for the inevitable. drawdowns are part of the cycle. they are designed to bring emotions into an emotionless space. i think that iam prepared. we shall see.
