Coal plants are being shut down and there is governmental talk of limiting fracking, so it looks like Natural Gas has seen it's bottom, even though potential supplies appear to be nearly unlimited.
Locally, there quite a few low milage used CNG vehicles selling on Craigslist. It could be the record gas prices.
We have a couple of new CNG filling stations that have opened ($1.50 gallon!) and both the state and the gas company are offering rebates on the vehicles as well as home filling pumps.

My $6,000 in fuel spent last year on just one vehicle sure has me interested.
I had my eye on a couple listed here yesterday and the ads are gone today.

Rebates will be processed on a first come, first served basis as funds are available, with a complete application. Compressed natural gas vehicles purchased on or after June 18, 2012, may be eligible to receive the rebate.

Due to overwhelming customer interest, rebate funds are fully exhausted. Additional rebate funding from the 25-cent surcharge on each gallon of CNG sold at all public CNG dispensers owned and operated by Oklahoma Natural Gas is being collected and will become available in the future. Based on historical surcharge collections from the first two months, Oklahoma Natural Gas does not expect to issue rebates on accepted applications until January 2013.

(I think it's funny that they jacked up the price...so they could give you a rebate!)
