The weather pattern in the mid 1930's looked eerily similar to this current one.
Less than 2 years ago we saw record cold and snowfall.
Last year saw some record heat, although still not reaching 1930's levels, but close.
The 1930's type drought, is upon the Midwest again.
I fear what this spring might bring. Solar activity is expected to peak then.
Land management is much better now so maybe we can escape some of this, although we did get a taste of it last month with strong winds bringing dust from Kansas and Nebraska.
This past summer's drought saw over 300 homes destroyed due to brush fires just west of Tulsa (started by a cigarette.)
