Many have theorised in the last few weeks that Gold may/should move higher or lower.

There is a third option of couse. It stays stagnant until it doesn't.

I say this because both potential upside and downside favorable periods are being wasted recently.

The upside imo is limited for now due to the unfavorable put/call ratios and the downside due to the recent

other markets turmoil and the International problems in Asia.

Thankfully options expirations will be over by 1/26.

Perhaps now that I have said that, Gold's price action proves me wrong. I do hope so.

R_management,

It is the GLD etf options that I follow.

I have found the GLD and btw the OEX (smart money) option activity quite helpful

http://www.cboe.com/...13&Mo=1&Yr=2016

adjust the correct date and scroll down

CBOE Options on SPDR Gold Shares - (GLD)   Call Put Total   Volume 25,367 7,093 32,460   Open Interest 1,548,587 595,949 2,144,536     High Low Close Change Level 106.16 104.94 105.40 1.39

I was aware of OEX option activity value but not of GLD.  Thank you for sharing.  Will def look further into it.

The short term optimum emas are bullishly aligned but the script suggests that today or tomorrow marks

a short term top of some significance ?

Feb Gold futures opex was yesterday and Jan GLD, SLV, GDX etc.opex is this Friday.

The GLD/FXE (bottom chart) suggests some more basebuilding or more lower levels testing due to the echoes coming from July/August/September 2015

GDX-strike $14.00 Jan 29th expiring CALLS show a rather large OI of 4,347.

I will be surprised if it ends above $14.00 by week's end.
