well, but it's not trading on Europe either because I could only take advantage of my short in Europe (placed late last week) only on the first day that the spx tanked, which was yesterday. If you look at DB you can see it started to drop a while ago, but there wasn' t any follow through for the other banks of Europe until yesterday, first day of weakness for the spx. Just my personal opinion, though...

Just want to add that the weakness came in when my targets for spx, dax and ftsemib were reached....(almost to the exact point for dax and ftsemib, only ten points before for the spx.....to be precise). When such things happen it must be not for coincidence I believe and unfortunately DB which was on my shorting list was able to escape out of it just anticipating the move.......damnation. DB is often a problem for me because it is used to such a behaviour

I don't know about Washington, but I do know safe havens have been gaining ground in this market.  I'm trying to scale into TLT.
