If they are already sequestered and cannot transmit until release time, how does this change anything? 'splain please.

John 21:6 And he said unto them, "Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find". They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

As I understand stand it:

Currently those who have access can bring in electronic equipment (e.g. tablet with word processor or other apps) and prepare everything to be transmitted,

they just cannot transmit until the lock period is over.  This gives them an edge as everyone else does Not get the information until the lock period is over

and then they (those NOT in the know) would need to prepare and transmit it at that time.

With the change, those in the know can still hear the information, they just have to wait till the lock period is over to prepare and transmit.

Personally I think this is a good thing as levels the playing field.   IMHO a simpler solution would be to NOT have those in the know be able to attend a separate briefing.

Should of explained first:

IMHO they are trying to curb front running.

Another example would be your data provider delaying the price information you receive.

This way if they know the price has already gone up they can purchase before you and sell it to you at a higher price.

Concept been around long time.  Watch the movie "The Sting" with Redford and Newman.
