Usually we seldom get a 4% advance in markets in ONE day in month of May. My personal portfolio (hi yield mutual funds+energy etf's+real estate funds+ SP500 index funds+midcap index funds) hit a new high at close yesterday. I had zero SP500 & Midcaps in the portfolio before March, but in March when market dived, I did jump in with one foot. And because stock indexes are  still 15% or so below high's from February, the market should keep advancing another 5% or so. Just my opinions. I am NOT watching the sky, my neck still hurts and I do not have "My Pillow".

If you sold at the end of April as I did, it is the same as selling in May and going away.

The things I sold in April are really not even now near the end of April prices.  Things like CODI, XLE and REM

Most of the "sell in May" decline probably happens in the mid Aug-Oct timeframe each year. Besides, its only May 15th? Geez.

No shorts will cover as huge as the short market is until 3000 is taken out and longs simply will not commit above 2970, thus a flat range market, would need to be very big news to take out 3000.
