Think you guys are missing my point not worried about taxes etc.  For example Dogecoin is rocketing up and now has a marketcap larger then 408 of the companies in the SP500 and its worth about .64 cents to trade!  What is it that Doge does to make money or is it just a trading vehicle that moves more on if people are just buying it or not?

Same reason Tulips were more valuable than silver at one time. It is known as buy high and sell higher to a fool.

The easy answer: it's a simple case of supply and demand...one man's weed is another man's flower.

Another answer is that it's a product not controlled by any Government or regulation..it's an alternative to your standard fiat currency which is only paper.
