the term exhaust to me means they have had large losses....a lot more than they thought and that justifies their use of unconventional weapons.

on the other hand russia has a long history of incompetent generals that had reached the highest ranks in the army for political reasons..........in ww2 thanks to stalin all the best generals they had were executed and when the germans attacked they found a bunch of incompetents facing them.........out of fuel.......fantastic.....their jet fighters too have to get out of fuel

I cannot imagine very many men in the rank and file are enthused about this campaign. They are not idiots. Ukraine poses no threat to Russia and has not provoked them in any way. They all know there's no justification for the senseless killings occurring on both sides and the destruction of Ukrainian cities. The only people that are for this invasion are Putin and his inner circle. We are in the 21st century and humans as a species have made some progress. Most nations do not go pillaging and warring as they had in Viking, Roman, Mongol, and Medieval periods. Most humans do not want to inflict harm on fellow human beings and want to live in peace. Exceptions are the likes of Putin who is increasingly in the minority. He is a dinosaur in an age of civility and propriety where monarchy and dictators have largely been replaced by democracy. Hope the Russian people see Putin for what he is, a thug and scourge of humanity. They need to find a way to rid him and return to the path unveiled by Mikhail Gorbachev.

We'll be tracking those stinger missiles and try to buy them back for a decade as most of it is going to end in the black market and pose threat to civilian aviation.
