Persistent Bullishness

This has been a tough January with a good 6.19% net account gain, less than 2022, but good enough to start 2023. 

Riding it out during the rest of the month, slightly short -  mainly in RISK PORTFOLIO. Added NAT GAS LONGs, small position to start with 3 TESLA PUTS, and UVXY CALLS. 

 

Market looks ready to break out to at least ES 4250

 

But, the geopolitical situation - especially Ukraine, China-Taiwan - seems to be hanging heavy over the  market.

 

Partially hedged, will adjust, or CLOSE ALL POSITIONS today or Monday, and daytrade NQ until Tuesday.

Too many are too bearish... ... is it they want to the markets to crash so they can get lower entry prices?

Today could be D Day for Naz Bears.

 

And could come down to Apple 143...

 

Bears need to reclaim it and then take out 142 to have a decent shot at a turn.

 

Not shorting until I see some evidence of bears intent to actually fight here.

 

If they do get the turn, then they need to take it hard down out of the gate...they have to recapture 11600 area quickly.

Traipsing  along sideways would favor bulls.

Apple...a foothold under 1 min line could be first indication of bears fighting back...

Naz daily...hard down here keeps the nears in the hunt for potentially bigger victories in 2023

 

I have now seen everything I wanted see leading to this decision point...now we see

Dow 1 min still riding the line...flinch here soon could be first sign of bear life...
