It's Time to Get Long
by Larry Williams
As a follower of my "Focus on Stocks" blog, you know we had a signal to sell on the opening Sunday night (10th day left). That was forecast last month... now I think it's time to start to get long. Where? At the August lows. When? By the last day of September. That's my plan...

New SPX ATH in Q4? Possible! But my FF is a new ATH by end of Q1 2034. Want to give it more time until there is a higher probability of RATE CUTS, and energy prices cooling as Spring approaches.

"Although September is considered a seasonally weak period for the stock market the fourth quarter is typically a strong period
There's a high probability of the S&P 500 Index reaching a new high in Q4
Growth stocks, Industrials, Financials, and Commodities could all see positive movement in Q4"

"I'm not as bearish as I should be. The risk factors we look at say "risk-on" is the way to go." Mish Schneider

"We are in the summer doldrums and could see one more drop before going higher. But I'm also bullish." Tom Bowley

"If you look at a daily chart of the S&P 500 ($SPX), there is a series of higher highs and higher lows since the August pullback. I wouldn't be surprised if the S&P 500 exceeds 4600 in Q4." Julius de Kempenaer

Perfect! This is the way to fly.

So far, they haven't figured out what his subscription rate on this will be.  It's no charge through the end of September.

Exactly what I was looking for - thanks.

"my FF is a new ATH by end of Q1 2034"

I'm guessing it's a typo. ATH by end of Q1 2024?

With all these crises markets can rally!?

Michael McKee (@mckonomy) posted at 5:18 PM on Wed, Sep 20, 2023:

Happy Fed Day to all who celebrate.
Is this the last boring meeting before the next crisis?
(Pick one):

Oil prices climbing
Student loan payments resume
UAW strike
Government shutdown
Day care cliff
Russia's war
China's economy

SMALL NET SHORT IN US EQUITIES with largest LONG in IWM. Will add more.
Still a medium LONG POSITION in HK & CHINESE MARKETS, Huge BABA LONG position. More ST & VST trading in HK & CHINESE stocks & indices.

Almost FLAT in UVXY. Will start new SHORT position.

Biggest loss in Q3 has been in TLT LONG position - mainly CALLS.

I hate WINDOWS constant updates so I shelve them for weeks & months but got to do it ... ditto for AVAST VIRUS software. Finally done until next few weeks.
