Well that was a fun night after the Nividea earnings report!!  I was scalping back and forth and grabbed the low on the ndx when the stock spiked lower for a long and made a nice quick 25 points as I started building my short at 15975 but forgot that I had another GTC trade on with the turnover for futures at 15950 so overnight it bought my trade back for another 25 points and added new shorts at 16,000.  Gotta love phone trading lol but always love it when errors are profitable lol!!!  Anyhow was funny.  In the end still have my main short on the ES at 4475 and NDX 15755.  Think I'm going to add more to them now that main earnings are done and the market will start to focus on the economy that is growing steam for a slowdown coming.  Ouch for durable goods orders this morning!!! 

 

Kind of surprised futures are higher this morning but there is no volume and the long weekend is starting!!  I have said before that I believe this is going to be a much bigger slowdown than people think when it really gets going next year but that's a bit away, for now the market still likes bond yields going down and there is still that 4.33% level gap out there I have been talking about.  The one thing that I heard from the Nividea report last night was that they were seeing a slowdown overseas but felt other places would pick it up.  It appears there may even be a slowdown coming there but that figures as it is just fancy programming and chatgt or whatever they call it is cute and all but that will wear off soon enough to just be another tool.  The stock this morning is barely moving and makes me think about the dotcom boom and bust, up to fast because its the new thing but then sideways for a loooong time.  That mixed with the coming recession should make things interesting next year especially with deflation ramping up hugely I believe.  Either way going to be incredible for selling options and the increased volatility for trading.

Nice pop as I predicted yesterday, but now let's see if the open gap gets back filled.............
