VIX spiking up now .........................

SPX futures currently down nearly 60 points.  VIX sudden spike late afternoon yesterday predicted this bear attack ............................

 

Let's see how low they can push further today ............................

VIX late day spike up likely related to the VIX monthly OpEx tomorrow morning .....................

 

Your kidding right, it was up +.07 for the day, that's not a spike, a spike is like today and its not even really a spike.  The vix has been "forming" a bottom for a while now around 12 and should move up but its nowhere near spiking higher...

I mentioned on Monday we'd likely see some selling as its expiration week even possibly a down week if you can believe it but true good odds of it being bought again lol!

BTW, albeit the volatile moves with this OpEx I see nothing is likely to change in the main backdrop for this bull market ...........................
