Tomorrow is the day for the Jan. monthly OpEx. Let's see tomorrow morning where they will set settlement values for the stock indices. With today's consolidation I'd not be surprised to see a gap up in the morning .................
So it just did what I predicted yesterday. But this huge gap up likely to be sold, who want to hold at the toppy place into big uncertainties coming ....................

That I can agree on as it is expiration and were now above last cycles expiration cycle which continues the streak if we hold not seen since 1998, not healthy, I'm selling lots of calls for February with this pop, two gaps below and the market short term overbought with sentiment as of call prices insanely priced!!

This year is likely to be above average for ST traders as the pending dramatic changes in policies will produce frequent wild rides starting next week .....................

By the close the market holds most of the gain today and technically SPX made a breakout above the ST down trend line. Let's see what it will bring on the index futures market on the inauguration day next Monday though US cash market is on holiday schedule. We may see another gap up on Tuesday .............................
