probably no one here is interested, but indoeuropean languages all descend from a proto language spoken by a population called Yamnaya which a few millennia ago inhabited the Pontic-Caspian

area which corresponds to Ukraine-southern Russia. These Yamnaya people are the proto-indoeuropeans. Language experts had already noted the similarities existing between the languages

spoken in Europe and they had come up to the conclusion that they all come from a same proto language spoken by common ancestors. DNA analysis have now confirmed that hypothesis.

A few kilometers south of where I live, the largest burial site or ''necropoli'' of pre-historic northern italy that has recently been found, has offered to archeologists material dating back to 4500

years ago. Yamnaya DNA was found there. Archeology and antropology are a true passion.

the area where I live is a sort of Heaven for archeologists, celtic tombs, lombard tombs, roman findings and now also proto-historic findings linked to the Yamnaya people, not to forget Oetzi the man of Similaun who lived at the border with Austria 5500 years ago and was preserved by alpine ice.
