Was a false break up then, and sharp reversal down? Gold is being demolished this morning. Very volatile price action.

Gold shares typically follow the general market, yes? ;) They are just more leveraged. Bought SPPIX yesterday :sweatingbullets:

The dollar looks like it is coiling up in a big way, for a new move.

thoughts: the dollar is toast! when? the dollar had 5 down waves and since then the action is corrective (upward) action the upmove in gold is now 3 waves w/todays action overlapping the high of the 1st wave up. the resistance, looking at a long term xau chart is 155-156, if that area is taken out loa, as the recent highs come into play. i believe the broads have now topped and will be in a fast down move for almost the balance of the year, in the past they have thrown the baby out w/the bathwater. meaning the gold shares also get chucked. i am looking for an opportunity similar to 5/05 in the pms dharma

dharma,

thoughts: the dollar is toast! when?

I wouldn't focus on the USD now vis-a-vis gold. Both can conceivably go up together so I don't really pay attention to it anymore. It would not surprise me to see the USD Index just bang around between 85 and 90 for a while longer.

cheers,

john
