This was my post yesterday to Scott in Wisconsin...Basically your "fast money" is leaving the metals...as I indicated before, there will be a soft market from 1/3 until 1/17/2007. That's when I plan to commit my remaining 50%. Good trading. Mike :D

w/the reversal yesterday, i raised some cash. and my window is the 17th to the 22nd. no sign of a bottom yet. unfortunately markets take time. and the gold market is no different w/its spectacular blast offs and punishing corrections. i am still counting the 10/4 lows as the end of the abc from the may highs. and this as a wave c of 2 correction. w/10/4 as the start of wave 1 of 3. waiting to repurchase. xau=131, hui=303.74 although time is a factor as well dharma

Personally it looks like a little bouce and then some more down to me. Will see. I have exposure, but not so much in terms of gearing - gearing is a kiss of death in markets i have learnt.

I have a low date set around 19 January.

There is a known 78-80 trading day cycle in the gold price which , while not exact as most cycles love to flucuate a bit, calls for a low around the end of the month which would be 79 TD fromt the OCT 4 closing low of $562.
