I see no fear also.....But the tape acted very strange.....Many trades were outside trades.....For example many stocks went from +0.5 to -1.5 with every tick.....with only 100 shares changed hands....

My favorite fear indicator is Treasuries. Early this morning, their were reports in various MSM outlets about how bonds were benefitting from a flight to quality. Frankly, I wasn't really impressed: half a point on the 30-yr., BFD. The long bond has already given back this morning's gains and then some. As far as I can see, nobody's really worried.

The FEAR FACTOR won't manifest itself so early! The SPX had advanced from aprox 760 to 1460 in 4 years. That is a 92% advance!!! So now we have a 4% correction!!!! If you don't want to go back 4 years, how about 8 months? SPX advanced from the 1250 area to 1460. That is a 17% advance in 8 months. So why should anyone out there be trembling in morbid fear? But...But...if SPX drops below 1300, that is when fear will rear its head.

I was short NDX with QID and took profit today. Now I'm long NDX with QLD and want to see the gap at $86.00 closed before moving back to QID. An experienced J6P.

Fear already came and went -- like Monday, when most were hiding under a table and way too scared to buy ********. Now its Greed's turn. :bones:
