The selling that we experienced so far is a lot stronger than any other correction we have had since 2003. Is it reasonable to think that S&P 500 will not get to 200-day MA? Denleo

We might bounce here as "everybody expected a retest. May's selloff looked like this. Then another leg hit. Inger said: "If more than a mild adjustment; things may rebound (and will rebound) periodically, but when/if they fail and for the second or third time (more) take-out the initial lows, risk of a plunge of serious magnitude..." Of course an Inger "waterfall decline" just plunges thru any support area.

Denleo, The NYSE volume..(3+billion at the mo') Doesn't look like a 'lighter-volume' re-test of the lows(i.e..bullish) to me anyway. New lows ahead? ...maybe....who knows. Regards.V

Yep, somewhere in that area. Timing on that is still a big question. Denleo

Appologies to all, Last night 'yahoo.finance' was showing 3 billion+ volume(on it's market internals page) for the NYSE just before the close in the US. In fact i've found out this morning that the true NYSE volume for yesterday was nearer to the 2 billion mark. Sorry again. Regards.V
