It reports there are some 200 Nasdaq and 60 NYSE stocks targeted that are basically pushed down significantly (Taser, Overstock etc a few of them), it says about 15-35% the first month they are targeted and in fact in some cases illegally (without the actual short shares deliverable). Anyhow, the hedge funds are blaming on the prime brokers for allowing for the short sales since they are supposed to watch for the reg SHO. It is interesting that the news comes out at this time though... - kisa
